Welcome to the Criminal History competition. Anyone may enter - for free - to win a prize (usually a book). All that needs to be done is to email me (EDITOR@CRIMINAL-HISTORY.CO.UK) with the answers to the given questions. The winner is the person randomly selected from emails bearing all correct answers - answers which are given in the following edition of the site. The prize will be sent by first class post. Good luck!
June Competition
Unlike the many popular television competitions, I shall both announce the winner and the correct answer. The winner was Mark Lybrand of Olympia, WA, in the USA, who was picked from the many entries which correctly chose Answer 2.
Question: “Hercule Poirot first appeared in “The Mysterious Affair At ...”
2) Styles.
Congratulations and enjoy!
July’s Competition
Recently thinking of my collection of mystery series, I recalled which ones I had purchased the first in the run and compelled me to collect further episodes. The Silver Pigs by Lindsey Davis is one such. First in the popular Falco canon, we meet the cynical and disreputable informer who is “persuaded” by the Emperor to return to a land he disliked ... Britain!
To win a brand new paperback copy of The Silver Pigs, just answer the following question:
Which Emperor sends Falco to Britain?
A) Julius
B) Commodus
C) Vespasian
